On Saturday, 12 April 2025, the Raffles Institution Astronomy Club hosted Astrigue 2025 at the Raffles Institution campus. Astrigue is a premier competition designed to foster a lifelong love for the cosmos. By blending rigorous academic challenges with interactive activities, the event provides a unique platform for students to showcase their expertise and connect with fellow astronomy enthusiasts.
The competition featured three distinct segments: a Project Round (submitted pre-event) and a comprehensive MCQ Round, both of which determined eligibility for the high-stakes Finals. Additionally, students participated in an Amazing Race—a non-weighted segment designed to expose participants to diverse astronomical disciplines through immersive games.
Representing SST, Team 8 (ORION) delivered an outstanding performance, securing 2nd Place. The team comprised Gavriel Chia Kai Ze (S4-05), Teh Tian Cheng (S4-02), Lim Kai Jun (S4-04), and Javier Wee Jia Wei (S2-03).
